What We Provide
Respecting Our Residents' Privacy
We strive to ensure all residents’ privacy is always respected and demonstrate dignity and compassion to residents at all times.
Social Visits
Families and friends are a big part of the residents’ rich social network and we actively encourage them to make visits at any time, without restrictions. There is a warm welcome for everyone, and cups of tea or coffee and light snacks are always available.
Resident Fulfilment
We recognise the opportunities for residents to realise personal aspirations and abilities. Our staff will:

Organise a diverse programme of social and cultural activities within our home and encourage residents to participate in all events and activities of their choice.
- Respond to residents wishing take part in any event or activity and/or respecting the wishes of those who do not.
Dining & Nutrition
Mealtimes are unhurried and relaxed. We provide all our residents with three full nutritious meals a day. We aim to provide special candle lit dinners with soft back ground music for residents every six weeks as an alternative to dining out.
Parties and Special Occasions
We understand the importance of special occasions in the lives of the residents. Families and friends are invited to such joyous occasions and are welcome to book our Webber Lounge for any private celebrations. We do not charge for this service.
Dignity
We understand the right to dignity by recognising the inherent value of people, respecting their unique qualities as individuals and the specific nature of each person’s needs. We will take care to safeguard our residents’ dignity.
Privacy
An individual’s right to privacy means being free from intrusion or unwelcome attention. Our staff respect our residents’ privacy by providing as much private space as possible, respecting relationships, as well as confidentiality of their information.
Confidentiality
We consider the right to confidentiality a key principle of health and social care and our staff are trained and expected to refrain from disclosing any information, learned directly or indirectly, about our residents.
Security
We will respond to our residents’ needs for reasonable security in the following ways:
- Ensuring that help is readily available when it’s needed urgently.
- Providing residents with a safe environment.
- Carrying out regular risk assessments of our premises, equipment used, and activities held.
- Putting a vigorous system in place for background checks on new staff.
- Continuously training staff to ensure services are delivered responsibly, professionally and with compassion.
Autonomy and Choice
We understand autonomy to be defined as the freedom to choose. We comply with official standards by:
- Conducting our home so as to allow residents to exercise their own personal autonomy and choice.
- Allowing residents the right to choose when they get up and when and where they eat.
- Enabling and helping residents to handle their own financial affairs as long as they wish to or have the capacity to do so.
- Informing residents and their loved ones on how to contact external advocates.
- Entitling our residents to bring personal possessions with them.
- Allowing service users access to their personal records in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Civil Rights
We will take all necessary action to ensure our residents maintain all benefits to which they are entitled to by citizenship.
