Moving into a care home is a major transition, and we understand that. We do our best to make the move to Avon Park Care Home as easy and inviting as possible.
From the very first day, new residents are welcomed with warm grins and shown around our welcoming home. Many people make friends by eating together, playing bingo, walking in the garden, and doing other things as a group. Some people like quieter times, like talking to staff, going on a walk in the garden, or having a cup of tea.
Our staff makes sure that residents feel at home. We urge residents to make their rooms feel more like home by adding photos, decorations, or other personal items. This gives them comfort and a sense of familiarity.
Many of our residents have become very close over the years. Families often say how friendly and joyful their loved ones have become. The caring staff and warm atmosphere at Avon Park make it more than just a “care home“; it is your home.
